Applets are downloaded to a client machine and run within a web browser. 3) Java Web Application A web application is a collection of servlets and JSPs that run on a web server. A web application is typically accessed by a user through a web browser. 4) Java Enterprise Application An enterprise application is a large-scale, distributed application that is designed to be deployed in a corporate environment. Enterprise applications are typically built using Java EE technologies. Java programming first started in the early 1990s. James Gosling, who invented the Java programming language, started work on Java at Sun Microsystems in 1991. Java was originally designed for interactive television, but it was too advanced for the digital cable television industry at the time. Gosling decided to start work on a new project that would be more suitable for networked environments like the Internet. Java Classes in Pune |
