Structure of a dissertation review
The review generally includes the following elements:

  • a title indicating the topic of the dissertation research, the faculty where the author of the work studies, the group number and last name, first name, and patronymic of the author;
  • a section on the relevance of research work;
  • a section on dissertation quality assessment.

This structure is approximate, the number of sections in practice may be more.
Note
You do not need to put down subheadings and separate sections from each other. The text must be consistent.
At the end of the review, the compiler indicates his:

  • surname, name and patronymic;
  • signature;
  • print if available.

Criteria for evaluating a dissertation work
When preparing a review, you must be guided by the following criteria. This:

  • logic, consistency, value of conclusions and proposals;
  • the quality of analytical work, the ability of the author to express his own opinion;
  • qualitative indicators of the research work done;
  • practical value of the research.

As a result of the analysis of the moments presented in the list, the author of the review gives a final assessment.
You need to carefully consider all the points of the review. The importance of this is due to the fact that it is from the review that the attestation commission will be able to understand what kind of work is presented to the attention of the members and what are its strengths and weaknesses.
Review Features
Asking one or another question about reviews of dissertation research, it is necessary to take into account a number of features. They are the following:

  • in the general case, a review is a document characterizing a dissertation;
  • the optimal length for a review is one or two pages;
  • font and spacing, as well as indents, header design - all this is done by analogy with the text of a dissertation research;
  • the best way to compose is the presence of an introduction, main part and conclusion.

What to write in the introduction
In the introductory part of the review, you can write about how relevant the problem raised by the author of the dissertation is, as well as mention the work done to achieve the goal and solve the problems of the study.
The introductory part should not be devoted to characterizing the author of the dissertation research - this is a mistake. The review should be exclusively about the dissertation.
Main part
It is recommended to devote the main part of the dissertation review to:

  • methods and means that the author of the dissertation used to achieve the goal;
  • methods of work, the quality of their use in the preparation of work and actual efficiency;
  • the novelty of the study and the practical significance of the results obtained by the author;
  • description of the results and proposals of the author of the dissertation.

What to write in the final part
In the final part of the review, a summary is usually summed up, an assessment of the dissertation research is given. In conclusion, it is necessary to indicate not only the advantages, but also the shortcomings identified as a result of reviewing the work by the reviewer.Can't handle the job on your own?
