A neat 8x8 grid, simple controls, and no time constraints greet players in Block Blast IO. All you have to do is drag blocks from a selection of three onto the board, attempting to fill entire rows or columns to free up space for more. Simple, doesn't it? The secret is that there is only one main component that causes the difficulty to increase rapidly: the restricted space and unpredictable bits. You can't rotate pieces in block blast io like you can in classic block games like Tetris. The blocks are sent to you in a predetermined configuration, and you have to figure out how to precisely fit them into your current structure. You will quickly run out of space if your placements are not thoroughly thought out. Players are forced by this seemingly minor restriction to consider several steps ahead of time, not only where a block fits right now but also how its placement will impact your alternatives for blocks in the future. |
